Best wishes & Review

ASSAMESE SUCCESS: The 14th Boston International Film Festival, USA a very prestigious film festival, was held from 14-18 April, 2016 showing over 75 films from over 60 countries spread over 5 days at 3 prestigious locations. Governor Charles Baker had welcomed all those attending the festival. Aneisha Sharma my very close friend received a Special Jury Recognition Award for her short film “A Dream Never Dies" in the festival. This film is based on the victims of terrorism in Assam and the ‘Aashwas’ project of the Government. Her films have a humane touch and have been screened and had received awards in several international films festivals earlier also. Her very famous short film "Freedom at the Edge" (2007), which portrayed the true story of human rights violation of Machang Lalung, who was in jail / Tezpur Mental Hospital for 54 years (from 1951 - 2005) without trial, had also received several international awards including being screened at Cannes International Film Festival (2008). Congrats to her and her team. Best wishes always Aneisha.

Red Carpet opening at the 45th International Film Festival of India, Goa

Red carpet opening of my film " A Dream Never Dies" on 21st Nov 2014 at INOX II at the 45th International Film Festival of India, Goa

For the 6 O'clock show all tickets were sold it off by 2.30 pm , Very good feed back from the audience and I would like to thank all the viewers and also thanks to IFFI, Jury for choosing the film which is very sensitive to the North East region. It is necessary to focus for the International viewers with the subject related to victim of terrorism and to show the trauma & pain suffered by the people living in a remote area of  Assam.

A Dream Never Dies

Poster of " A Dream Never Dies "

A still from the film " A Dream Never Dies "

My new upcoming short film “A Dream Never Dies” based on victim of terrorism.
There are more than hundred of families who are victim of terrorism in Assam. Each family lost their head of their earning family member. They passed through lots of trauma and hardship. Now, Central Govt. and State police project ‘Ashwash’ provided logical support to those victim families.
