Best wishes & Review

ASSAMESE SUCCESS: The 14th Boston International Film Festival, USA a very prestigious film festival, was held from 14-18 April, 2016 showing over 75 films from over 60 countries spread over 5 days at 3 prestigious locations. Governor Charles Baker had welcomed all those attending the festival. Aneisha Sharma my very close friend received a Special Jury Recognition Award for her short film “A Dream Never Dies" in the festival. This film is based on the victims of terrorism in Assam and the ‘Aashwas’ project of the Government. Her films have a humane touch and have been screened and had received awards in several international films festivals earlier also. Her very famous short film "Freedom at the Edge" (2007), which portrayed the true story of human rights violation of Machang Lalung, who was in jail / Tezpur Mental Hospital for 54 years (from 1951 - 2005) without trial, had also received several international awards including being screened at Cannes International Film Festival (2008). Congrats to her and her team. Best wishes always Aneisha.
